Léopold BEAULIEU, President of CIRIEC-Canada & Honorary President of CIRIEC
Founder of Fondaction, of which he was President and CEO until 2020. It is a fund created at the request of the Confederation of National Trade Unions which collects retirement savings and whose investments are made for cooperation and employment in a sustainable development perspective. Léopold Beaulieu has worked for more than 40 years in the construction of institutions aiming at their financial and economic development, but also their social and environmental impacts. Thus, he has contributed to charting new paths in the fields of finance and economic development. Léopold Beaulieu has been a director of several organizations within the cooperative and mutualist movement, the social economy, socially responsible finance, cultural heritage and sustainable development, in Quebec and internationally. Co-founder and vice-president of the Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins, he is also co-president of the International Association of Free Software (Ai2L). |
